Stage 2 — Band Playing Test (75 marks): This is the primary scoring stage. Trade performance on a List A instrument carries 60 marks. Up to 15 bonus marks are available for playing List B instruments (5 marks per instrument, maximum 3 instruments). The qualifying cut-off is 50% for UR/OBC/EWS candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Based on this cut-off, candidates equal to three times the number of advertised vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for Stage 3.
Stage 3 — Interview (25 marks): Shortlisted candidates appear for an interview assessing trade knowledge, general knowledge, personality, expression, and sports background.
